What Is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is the process of accompanying a person on their spiritual journey. It is for anyone, it is confidential, and is usually a one-on-one session with a certified Spiritual Director. Galilee has a pool of directors both male and female to meet your needs and comfort.
What Is The Process Like?
During your journey, your Spiritual Director will speak with you to reflect on what is happening in your world and will help you to notice how God (or the holy/higher power) is at work in your life. From this point, your director will help you to develop your personal skills to better communicate with God through prayer and meditation.
How Often And How Long Will I Meet With My Director?
You may determine the duration and frequency of your meetings; usually for an hour once per month.
What is the Cost For Spiritual Direction?
The price for spiritual direction is set by each director, and is usually $50 per hour. If you are seeking spiritual direction and require financial assistance, please contact the office.

Meet the Galilee Spiritual Directors:
Fr. Richard Kelly, OMI
Fr. Richard Kelly, OMI is a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, the Galilee Chaplain, and Jesuit trained in the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius out of Guelph Centre of Spirituality. He celebrates 40 years as a spiritual Director including the training of spiritual directors. His pastoral ministry finds expression in Formation, Health Care, High School, Parish and Retreat/Renewal.
Marie Morgan
Marie Morgan is a retired Nurse who lives in Arnprior. She is an active Oblate Associate, a certified Spiritual Director and Yoga teacher. When Marie is not traveling with her husband she offers yoga sessions at Galilee, assists with spiritual direction and has led retreats. She is also busy with her grandchildren and family in normal times.
Sr. Mary-Catherine Kelley, GSIC
Sr. Mary-Catherine Kelley, GSIC has experience in Spiritual Direction and Directed Retreats in Ontario, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Michigan. She has also engaged in the training and supervision of Spiritual Directors.
Dolores Hall
Dolores Hall, coming to us from Ottawa, retired now from full time work at renewal centres in St. John’s, NL and Kingston, ON, has been doing retreats and on-going spiritual direction for 40 years. She is delighted to join our team for our summer retreat.
