In a world often marked by haste an the division that fosters, we invite you to pause and join us for a series of fireside chats to (re)introduce ourselves to the profound insights of Thomas Merton—a renowned Trappist monk, writer, and advocate for peace—and to guide us toward deeper, more fruitful communication in our personal lives and strengthen our participation in a Synodal Church.

Retreat Highlights:
Introduction to Thomas Merton: Engage Merton’s thoughts on Prayer, Contemplative living, the interconnectedness of all beings. Through his writings, we will explore how contemplation can enrich our understanding of ourselves and others.
Spiritual conversation as a contemplative practice: Engage in guided practices designed to foster open-hearted communication. Learn to listen deeply and express ourselves authentically, creating a safe space for transformative conversations.
Group Reflections: Participate in small group discussions that encourage sharing and exploration of ideas inspired by Merton’s teachings. Together, we will reflect on how these concepts can be applied to our daily interactions.
Nature and Silence: Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature as we incorporate moments of silence and reflection, allowing for a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.
