If a hosted group is renting space from Galilee for their event they must apply for a Special Occasion Permit (Private Event, no sale of alcohol) at a cost of $45/day. They must receive this permit prior to the event, and display it at the event.
If Galilee is presenting an event or program (such as a staff meeting or public luncheon) where alcohol will be served, we are responsible to apply for a Special Occasion Permit (Private or Public Event based on the circumstances).
Indoor private events permit applications must be received by AGCO no less than 10 days prior to the event. Indoor public events permit applications must be received no less than 30 days prior to the event. From the Commission’s website (https://www.agco.ca/):
As of April 1st, 2018, all applications for Special Occasion Permits must be made online through the iAGCO portal.
